Kia EV6 triumphant again at Parkers New Car Awards 2024
The Kia EV6 impressed once again at the Parkers New Car Awards, being named ‘Best Large Family Car’ for 2024 by Parkers and Absolute Radio.
In its seventh year, the 2024 Parkers New Car Awards mirror the ever-changing preferences of the UK's car-buying audience. The winners are determined by the website's experienced reviewers, combined with the purchasing choices of the site's 2.3 million engaged users actively participating in the buying journey.
Judges praised the EV6’s all-round appeal to buyers, and its ability to provide families with a stress-free EV experience. A spacious interior packed with simple-to-use features combined with great performance, range and handling on the road made the EV6 one of 18 awards-winners announced today by Parkers.
Keith Adams, Editor of Parkers, remarked: “That bold bodywork hides a practical interior and a large boot and even the most basic, low-spec model feels futuristic and special inside. Whether you go for the cheaper rear-wheel drive or the all-wheel drive, twin-motor variants, it’s quick, comfortable and handles brilliantly. A very worthy winner for Absolute’s listeners and one that’ll be tough to beat next year.”
This is the first Parkers New Car Awards where EVs and ICE-powered cars have been combined into the same categories, meaning competition in the Large Family Car category was fiercer than ever. The EV6 managed to brilliantly fend-off a number of rival EVs, as well as well-established petrol- and diesel-powered family cars.
This award win follows a hot streak for Kia at the Parkers New Car Awards in years gone by, with the EV6 winning ‘Best Large Electric Car’ for 2023, and the Kia Sorento winning ‘Best Large Family Car’ for 2022.
The fully electric Kia boasts a 328-mile range, ultra-fast charging times and a sleek and modern design philosophy, and has received a multitude of awards including winning European Car of the Year for 2022. As is standard with all models, the EV6 comes with Kia’s ground-breaking seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty, for added peace of mind.
