Kia and MINI have been named the top brands by UK dealers in the latest National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS).

Lowest overall manufacturer rating went to Jaguar while Jeep most improved rating compared to the Summer 2023 survey.

The Winter 2024 edition of the DAS was carried out between the end of January and the start of March 2024, asking dealers questions about the ongoing business relationship with manufacturers.

Dealer satisfaction regarding current profit returns have experienced a slight decrease, with an average score of 6.1, down – 0.1 from the Summer 2023 edition (-1.6% change).

Conversely, dealer satisfaction levels for future profit returns  appear more optimistic with the average climbing to 6.1, a 0.3 increase.

Worries remain among dealers with manufacturer support for on-site EV charging  infrastructure, receiving an average of 5.2 out of 10, the lowest returning score for the entire survey.

Sue Robinson, Chief Executive of the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA), said: “NFDA would like to congratulate Kia for consistently displaying excellence amongst the dealer network and ranking as the top brand for a third consecutive time.

“In this edition of NFDA’s Dealer Attitude Survey, Kia ranked top in each topic regarding electric vehicles, a fantastic achievement especially as manufacturers work towards the transition to electric.”
