Innovation, Partnership and Service Excellence celebrated at Alphabet Supplier Awards

Fleet leasing and mobility experts Alphabet (GB) Limited announced the winners of the 2018 Alphabet Supplier Awards at an exclusive event in Windsor.

These awards, in their second year, recognise the achievements of Alphabet’s supplier network over the past 12 months and celebrate industry-leading best practice.The evening was hosted by Alphabet’s Chief Operating Officer, Nigel Fletcher, with entertainment provided by star of ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, comedian Hal Cruttenden.

The awards evening is the culmination of a year-long process which takes into account quantitative results, such as customer satisfaction scores and key performance indicators; as well as qualitative measures, such as innovations delivered or demonstrating a true partnership approach.

The awards recognise the company’s leading suppliers in five key categories which include Commercial Vehicle ConverterDealership of the YearDealer Group of the YearRental Provider and Fleet Services Provider. Finalists in each Award category are invited to the exclusive event (held at the M Gallery Castle Hotel, Windsor), with the winners announced during the evening by Supplier Relationship Manager, Russ Cain, Head of Mobility Services, Nick Butler and Head of Technical Services, Kit Wisdom respectively:

  • LCV Converter of the Year: Qi Van Systems
  • Dealership of the Year: Dick Lovett BMW
  • Dealer Group of the Year: Sytner
  • Rental Provider of the Year: Avis
  • Fleet Services Provider of the Year: Kwik-Fit Fleet

The Alphabet Supplier Awards also include also specific categories for Innovation and Collaboration initiatives which were presented by Chief Operating Officer, Nigel Fletcher. Individuals working for Alphabet’s supply partners who went above and beyond during the past 12 months were also recognised in the Service Excellence category:

  • Innovation Award: Tevo
  • Collaboration Award: Clifford James Consultants
  • Service Excellence Award: Paul McGeever, Think Ford

The event culminated in the crowning of one of the evening’s eight winners as Alphabet’s overall Service Provider of the Year, the supplier who really stood out over the past 12 months and set the standard:

  • Service Provider of the Year: Kwik Fit Fleet

Nick Brownrigg, CEO of Alphabet (GB) Limited, who presented the final award commented “Kwik Fit Fleet deservedly earned our top honour and title of Alphabet Service Provider for 2018 because the business achieved consistently excellent results across all of our criteria - whether that’s in the ‘hard numbers’ of key performance indicators, customer satisfaction and net promoter scores, or the softer aspects such as innovations delivered and their approach to the relationship. Kwik Fit Fleet was chosen for its all-round approach to partnership, collaboration, innovation and service excellence.”

Mr Brownrigg added: “The Alphabet Supplier Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of our supplier network and their dedicated employees. We simply couldn’t deliver the breadth and scale of our products and services to customers without the support of our supply partners. For many of our customers and their employees how they feel about Alphabet is determined by the service and experience they receive from suppliers acting on our behalf. We firmly believe that we can only deliver further innovations and continued service improvement in the changing world of business mobility through working collaboratively and sharing best practices within a network of supplier partners who share our passion and ethos.”

In presenting Kwik Fit Fleet with the Fleet Services Provider of the Year title, Kit Wisdom, Head of Technical Services at Alphabet outlined: “Over the last 12 months Kwik Fit Fleet has demonstrated its ability in delivering continual improvements and a real appetite for innovation. From an end-user perspective, Kwik Fit Fleet has introduced new digital solutions to make the customer journey easier and have worked collaboratively with us to deliver some industry firsts, such as online tyre replacement and MoT booking.”

Kwik Fit GB Fleet Sales Director Andy Fern, who collected the awards, said: “We are naturally delighted to win. There is a strong and longstanding relationship between the two companies. Kwik Fit continues to innovate and bring new solutions to the table, all without diverting focus away from our core strength of tyres. That is recognised by Alphabet, which itself is known for its industry-leading products and solutions. Consequently, the two companies share the same ethos, focus and teamwork and that is cemented by a relationship that extends over almost two decades.”

Alphabet’s Chief Operating Officer Nigel Fletcher commented afterwards: “These Awards are about recognising outstanding performance from our supply partners and their individual employees.
