The Peter Vardy Group, one of Scotland’s best-known family run automotive businesses, has signed a two-year contract, beginning a new remarketing partnership with global vehicle remarketing provider, Manheim.
Once volume returns to near normal levels as the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic lessen, the agreement will deliver a minimum of 4,000 trade vehicles per annum through two Manheim auction sites at Shotts and Washington (Tyne and Wear), as well as through Cox Automotive’s Dealer Auction digital auction platform.
A key feature of the contract will see Peter Vardy Group utilising Manheim’s eva Pro Appraisal & Valuation tool at each of its 15 dealerships. This product showcases Cox Automotive’s valuation technology, utilising wholesale and retail data to calculate accurate vehicle values up to six months in advance, enabling Peter Vardy dealerships to offer highly accurate valuations as part of an improved customer omni-channel experience.
Derek Lyon, Franchise Director at Peter Vardy Ltd said: “Through signing up to work closely with Manheim, we feel confident that we will be well supported, even beyond the auction programme. For example, eva is a digital toolkit that enables us to take advantage of accurate valuations data for more effective pricing strategies. We have also been introduced to several other digital wholesale tools that we are exploring closely with the Manheim team.”
Liam Quegan, managing director of Manheim Auction Services, added: “Peter Vardy is a well-known dealer group in Scotland, and everyone at Manheim warmly welcomes them to what we hope is a long and fruitful partnership. Peter Vardy’s remarketing volume will come into Manheim auction centres in Shotts, just outside of Glasgow and Washington near Sunderland. We thank them for becoming a trusted partner and look forward to what the future brings.”
The Peter Vardy Group is a family run automotive business operating across Scotland since 2006.
