Kia UK has maintained momentum with a strong performance throughout November, according to the latest registrations figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Kia closed the month with a healthy 5.5 per cent market share for November, with 6,382 units sold. This places the brand as seventh best-selling in the UK year-to-date, with a 5.7 per cent market share and 88,342 sales.
This marks Kia’s second best November ever (best was in 2018) and ensures Kia is on-track to achieve annual sales of around 90,000 units in 2021.
Kia continues to perform exceptionally well in the electrified market, with November 2021 seeing the brand’s best-ever eco sales (HEV, PHEV and EV sales combined). Additionally, Kia finished in second place for sales of fully electric vehicles (EVs) month-to-date, with 1,695 sales. Kia is the third best-selling EV brand in the UK so far this year, with 13,580 sales.
This has been aided by the Niro family’s continued popularity in both the retail and fleet sectors. The fully electric e-Niro ended the month as both the second most popular EV month- and year-to-date, with 1,261 sales and 11,701 sales respectively.
The Kia Sportage also ended the month on a high, climbing to sixth place overall in the top ten best-seller list year-to-date (with 27,297 sales), ahead of order books for the all-new Sportage opening on 15 December.
