Alphabet in top 15% for sustainable business practices

4 September 2025, Farnborough, UK: Leading business mobility provider Alphabet (GB) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the EcoVadis silver medal for high-ranking sustainability performance.
It places Alphabet (GB) in the top 15% of over 100,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis; a global provider of sustainability ratings, which specialises in assessing and improving the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of companies, particularly within supply chains.
The certification signifies Alphabet’s unwavering commitment to greener and responsible business practices across the four pillars of environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
To ensure a fair outcome, EcoVadis tailors its questionnaires, methodology and analysis to the specific industry and context of each company. To be eligible for a silver medal, companies must achieve a high score in each of the four management areas.
Speaking of the accolade, Natasha Foley, ESG Officer for Alphabet (GB) and BMW Financial Services (GB), said: “To receive a silver medal on our first evaluation demonstrates the quality of our sustainable management systems and approach to sustainable topics.
“It’s a significant milestone, and serves as a motivator towards continuous improvement, while acknowledging team members’ achievements to inspire others to adopt similar practices,” added Foley.
This award period extends for 12 months, after which Alphabet will undergo a follow-up routine evaluation. Upon considering EcoVadis’ recommendations, Alphabet is energised to elevate its ranking further in 2026. Achieving a gold rating would position it among the top five percent of companies, globally.
