A grey fleet driver is commonly referred to as a person who uses their privately owned vehicle for business-related purposes within a grey fleet system. In a grey fleet arrangement, employees or individuals use their personal vehicles for work-related travel instead of using company-owned or leased vehicles.

GDPR requires greater transparency, consent, and security for collecting and using personal data like location, driving behaviour, and licence details. Fleet managers need a legal basis for data processing, they have to inform drivers about data use and retention, ensure security to prevent unauthorised access and only keep data for as long as necessary.

A fleet driver is defined as a person who has a vehicle as part of a commercial fleet to transport goods, people, or services for a business, whether the vehicle is company-owned or part of a grey fleet. 

Yes, you can usually take a UK fleet vehicle abroad, but you’ll need the correct paperwork, including a VE103 certificate, insurance and relevant documents for the country you’re going to.

Simply go online and complete a vehicle request form

Yes, if your vehicle is petrol, diesel or hybrid we need a quarter of a tank of fuel. If it’s electric, it will need a full charge before collection.
