Accessibility statement Alphabet website
BMW Financial Services Nederland B.V. (hereinafter "Alphabet") makes its website accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Act of April 8, 2023, amending various laws for the implementation of Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act "EAA") regarding accessibility requirements for products and services (Implementation Act on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services, hereinafter "Implementation Act") and the EAA. Therefore, we strive to ensure that our website, https://www.alphabet.com/en-nl, is accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities.
In particular, the Implementation Act on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services and the EAA require e-commerce services to be barrier-free, so that they can be found, accessed, and used by people with disabilities in the usual way, without special problems and, in principle, without external assistance.
Conformity Status
Alphabet is currently working to improve the digital accessibility of its website. Alphabet recognizes the importance of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a standard to make its website usable for everyone, including users of assistive technologies such as screen readers, speech software, and alternative input devices.
Our efforts are focused. WCAG is globally recognized as the standard for website accessibility. It defines three levels of conformity: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. According to EU regulations, WCAG 2.2 Level AA must currently be achieved, which provides a solid foundation for most accessibility needs.
Alphabet does not currently fully comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means that there are parts of the website that do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. Alphabet is actively working on structurally adjusting the website with expert support to further align the website with applicable accessibility standards.
Technical Specifications
The accessibility of the Alphabet website depends on the use of certain technologies to work with the specific combination of web browser and any tools or plugins installed on your computer. These technologies include:
• HTML
• CSS
• WAI-ARIA
• JavaScript
These technologies are necessary to meet the accessibility standards in use.
Accessibility Assessment Approach
Alphabet continuously assesses the accessibility of the Alphabet website through external evaluations. This means that an independent third party has evaluated the website according to the WCAG 2.2 guidelines and reported their findings. This was done using both automated and comprehensive manual tests, including tests with assistive technologies, to ensure excellent coverage. Alphabet is committed to addressing the findings of these evaluations to improve the accessibility of the Alphabet website.
The most recent evaluation of the Alphabet website took place in April 2025.
