Alphabet Polska has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing it among the top 5% of companies globally that achieve the highest scores for responsible and sustainable business practices. This exceptional achievement confirms the company's high level of commitment to its ESG strategy and represents an important milestone in Alphabet's long-term plan for responsible business conduct across all markets.
EcoVadis is a leading global platform for assessing the sustainability of suppliers and companies, recognized as the standard in large organizations worldwide. The rating system is based on a detailed analysis of company policies, activities, and performance in four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Ratings are presented on a clear scorecard, compliant with recognized standards such as the UN Global Compact and ISO 26000.
Alphabet Polska's Gold Medal distinction signifies that the company meets the highest ethical and environmental requirements, and its ESG activities meet the highest global standards.
"Achieving the EcoVadis Gold Medal in the first year of certification is a tremendous achievement and confirmation that our ESG strategy is delivering tangible results. Being among the top 5% of rated companies is not only a source of pride but also a commitment to continually improve the standards of our operations," says Dawid Hodun, ESG Officer, Alphabet Polska.
More and more large-scale companies – both for regulatory and social responsibility reasons – are striving for full transparency in their supply chains. They want to ensure they are collaborating with companies that share the same ESG values and standards. Therefore, a high EcoVadis rating sends an important signal to Alphabet's partners that the company operates ethically, responsibly, and sustainably.
"EcoVadis certification is a process of continuous improvement – the award is valid for only one year, after which a reassessment is conducted. This means that to maintain the Gold Medal, we must continually strengthen our efforts. We are ready for this, and our dedicated ESG team is already working on the Sustainability Strategy for 2026-2028, so that we not only maintain the current level but also exceed it in the future," adds Agata Stachaszewska, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer, Alphabet Poland.
Alphabet also publishes its own ESG report. The latest edition – the Alphabet 2024 Report – is now available, and work is underway on the 2025 report. The document provides a detailed source of information about the company's actions, their effects, and plans for further improvement in responsible business practices.
