Alphabet leads by example at Partner Forum

Published: 28/09/2026

28 September 2026, Farnborough, UK: Alphabet, a leading fleet mobility leasing provider, hosted its third Partner Forum at the idyllic Barnsdale Hotel in Rutland on 22 September.

A representative sample of 40 brokers from across the Alphabet Partner channel were invited to the annual networking event to ensure a fair distribution of intermediaries from across the UK to discuss and explore a number of key topics.

In a rapidly changing landscape in procurement and supply chain dynamics, specifically navigating high-speed markets to secure batch deals with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), it was an opportunity to evaluate the success and fiscal turbulence across the Partner estate.

Richard Chadwick, Alphabet’s Head of Indirect Sales opened the forum, before handing the stage over to Paul Harkins, Regional Business Manager, who thanked broker representatives for their continued support.

There was also opportunity for Graham Meers, Alphabet’s Head of Business Partnership Programme (BPP), to present on the evolution of car models, including the BMW Neue Klasse, having spent more than four years working in the Corporate Leasing Team at BMW UK.

The busy schedule, which included a sit-down evening meal and a cruise around nearby Rutland Water, also paved the way for three Q&A sessions to open the floor to brokers to discuss a range of topics relating to transparency, BPP engagement and potential changes to fixed commissions. It further emphasised the true value of being an Alphabet Partner to help shape the future course of the channel.

The launch of the Alphabet Partner balance scorecard in 2024 continues to generate plenty of healthy competition too, after the broker channel achieved another record-breaking year (July 2025 to June 2026), borne out of the core partnership principles of exclusivity, service and brand credibility.

Harkins again had the pleasure of presenting Alphabet’s Spirit of Partnership Award, this time to Geoff Cockerill, Director of Operations for Select Car Leasing.

Headquartered in Reading, Berkshire, Select Car Leasing achieved the highest position on Alphabet's balanced scorecard, which evaluates partners against several key metrics, including shared values to ensure good customer outcomes and business performance. Select Car Leasing now joins Gofor and Leasing Options in the roll of honour.

Ian Turner, Chief Sales Officer for Alphabet (GB), had the pleasure of closing the Partner Forum for the second consecutive year, which served as another opportunity to thank all delegates for their support in helping to make the event and channel such a success.

Speaking after the event, Chadwick said: “Having a collaborative, democratic forum is the best way to address industry challenges and unlock new opportunities. It gives our Partners a true voice and fosters genuine buy-in.

“The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. So many of our Partners have praised the format of the event, which is always great to hear. As a funder, we are genuinely interested in providing the best products and people services to help our Partners deliver strong results.

“When you explore strategies for building a stronger network, you improve collaboration, which helps drive the best outcomes for the customer. Long may that continue,” he added.
