This is how we understand accessibility.
Alphabet International GmbH makes its range of banking services for consumers and websites accessible in accordance with the provisions of European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636/2023), (the “EEA Regulations”). This is to ensure that our banking services and e-commerce services are easily accessible to consumers and that all customers can use them.
This accessibility statement applies to banking services for consumers that are offered online on the Alphabet International Website.
In particular, the law requires e-commerce and banking services to be accessible for consumers so that they can be found, accessed and used by people with disabilities in the usual way, without any particular difficulty and, in principle, without outside assistance. These requirements are specified by Regulation pursuant to the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSGV), according to which, among other things, the state of the art must be observed.
In addition to technical requirements, the law requires service providers to make certain information accessible in barrier-free form. In the case of banking services for consumers, the information on how they work must be understandable, without exceeding a level of complexity superior to level B2 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
We explain our most important products to you. And it's very simple.
Alphabet International GmbH offers you various banking services — hereinafter referred to as “services”. For example, you can use them to finance a vehicle. The services are described here:
BMW Loan
With a loan, you borrow money from Alphabet International GmbH. You must repay the money within a certain period. During the term, you pay installments to Alphabet International GmbH every month. The installments also include interest. With the interest, you pay Alphabet International GmbH money to lend you money for a certain period.
In the case of vehicle loan, the intermediary receives the money. Interest is paid first with each installment. The rest of the installment is used to repay the loan. The interest rate remains the same throughout the entire term. You may also need to provide security. More about your loan agreement with Alphabet International GmbH can be found in your loan application.
BMW Leasing
Leasing with Alphabet International GmbH means: You can use a vehicle without buying it. With a mileage lease contract, you drive the vehicle for a monthly rate.
This rate always remains the same. The rate depends on the price of the vehicle, the mileage and the running time. The mileage is the number of kilometers you are allowed to drive with the vehicle each year. The term is usually 24 to 48 months. You can also book services such as a workshop or tire service.
If you want to lower the monthly installment, you can make a one-time special leasing payment at the start of the contract. Alphabet International GmbH can require security from you. This is, for example, a guarantee or a deposit. Alphabet International GmbH is the owner of the vehicle, and you are the keeper.
During the leasing period, you are responsible for insuring, servicing and repairing the vehicle. The contract cannot be terminated during this period. However, there is the right to extraordinary termination.
At the end of the term, you must return the vehicle in a condition that corresponds to the age and the agreed mileage. The vehicle must not have any damage or defects and must be safe for traffic and operation. Normal wear and tear are not considered damage. In the end, we will bill you for mileage that is too high or too low. We will also bill you for a reduction in the value of the vehicle. This may mean additional costs for you.
The Alphabet International GmbH also offers other services. For example, you can invest your money with Alphabet International GmbH. The services are:
Savings account
Call deposit (overnight money)
Fixed-term deposit
Alphabet International GmbH offers its services in various ways:
- You can take out vehicle financing online
- You can only take out banking products (savings account, call deposit and fixed-term deposit) online.
- Meeting accessibility requirements
Alphabet International GmbH strives in many ways to make its banking services and websites accessible for consumers and to prepare them for the use of assistive technologies. To this end, the technical standards of the European Standard EN 301 549 and the success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 referenced therein are fulfilled in the development of the websites at conformity levels A and AA.
In the case of banking services for consumers, the information on how they work is presented in an understandable way, without exceeding a level of complexity superior to level B2 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In addition, the information on how it works is offered in an auditory version.
As part of our digital channels, the information is presented in a perceivable and understandable way. The information is made available in text formats that are suitable for generating alternative assistive formats, which can be displayed by users in different forms and can be perceived via more than one sensory channel. The information is presented in a font with an appropriate font size, suitable font form and with sufficient contrast and adjustable spacing between letters, lines and paragraphs. An alternative presentation of the content is offered when elements with non-text content are included. The electronic information required to provide the service is provided in a consistent and appropriate manner by making it perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Insofar as identification methods, authentication methods, electronic signatures, security functions and payment services are provided, these are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
