France and Spain sign an agreement on driving infringements

The reason: in the summer months there is a huge amount of drivers who cross the border in both directions. Now if a person commits a driving offence like speeding in the other, he or she will receive a fine in the same way as in the own country. France already has similar 'driving offence' agreements with Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Also from November on this year, certain driving infringements will be punished on a pan-European level.
