Marco Lessacher will take over as president of Alphabet International from July 1, 2019, replacing longtime CEO Norbert van den Eijnden. Marco Lessacher plans to continue his predecessor's efforts to position Alphabet as an open-minded company and a leader in the rapidly changing mobility industry.
Marco Lessacher began his career at the BMW Group in 2007 as CEO at BMW Financial Services and Alphabet Germany, among others. He was also responsible for managing international corporate, direct and special sales at the BMW Group. In 2017, he assumed the position of President of the Management Board of BMW Austria Bank GmbH, responsible for the financial services activities of the BMW Group in Central and South-Eastern Europe, covering a total of eleven markets.
"I'm looking forward to this new challenge," Lessacher said. "With a strong team and a clear vision, we will set the direction for a successful future."
Lessacher will replace Norbert van den Eijnden, who will resign from his post to take up new professional challenges. Since 2009, van den Eijnden has successfully led Alphabet International, ensuring the company is a leader in business mobility in the leasing industry. On behalf of the entire Alphabet team, we wish Norbet van den Eijnden success and thank you for all your efforts to develop Alphabet International over the years.
