Chase Evans’ fleet goes hybrid with help from Alphabet
UK, 24 May 2016 – As a demonstration of its commitment to more sustainable and efficient business travel, leading London estate and letting agent Chase Evans turned to mobility specialist, Alphabet for its new fleet of plug in, hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).
When Chase Evans initially expressed an interest in adding a single PHEV for their 50 vehicle fleet, the Alphabet for Business team worked in conjunction with their long-standing supply partner, Sytner, to identify the financial and environmental benefits of replacing the majority of the fleet of company cars with hybrid vehicles. As a result, over 95% of Chase Evans’ fleet is now hybrid, with all vehicles funded and managed by Alphabet.
The new, greener fleet of vehicles showcases Chase Evans’ distinctive branding around London and demonstrates the company’s forward thinking approach. In addition, the PHEVs not only reduce the company’s carbon footprint but also Chase Evans’ drivers benefit personally from lower Benefit In Kind (BIK) and from new, prestige marque vehicles. With Chase Evans offices in the City, Docklands, Canary Wharf and Greenwich, as well as new offices opening in Elephant and Castle and Nine Elms, these vehicles are the perfect business tool for driving inside and outside of London’s congestion charging zone.
Ian Ruffle, operations director at Chase Evans says, “Due to the nature of our business, our staff cover a lot of miles in and around London so reducing our carbon footprint is important to us. These cars not only look great on the road, but they also give us peace of mind that we are playing our part in reducing energy wastage and emissions.”
“We chose to work with Alphabet not only because they are experts in more sustainable business travel and hybrid electric vehicles, but also their professionalism and customer service has been exceptional. We look forward to building on this relationship moving forward.”
Gavin Davies, General Manager, SME Sales & Distribution comments “Alphabet understands that managing company vehicles can be a time consuming process for SMEs and switching on to the benefits of PHEVs requires expert guidance through the various available options. Sustainability as well as suitability for the business’ needs are key considerations.
Alphabet for Business consolidates the whole funding, fleet management and mobility package into one managed solution for small to medium sized fleets – from maintenance and servicing to keep your business on the move to helping fleets transition towards more sustainable mobility with EVs and car sharing. We are proud to have worked in partnership with Chase Evans and Sytner to deliver both a great result for the business in terms of a greener, more efficient fleet, while also providing savings and improved driving experience for employees. So it’s truly a win-win situation for Chase Evans and their drivers.”
