Alphabet celebrates fifth birthday of Partner division with new Partnership Forum initiative
Alphabet recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of the launch of its Alphabet Partner division with a new Partnership Forum initiative. The event brought together Brokers, Retailers and Affinity Partners who work with Alphabet to discuss key topics on the automotive and leasing agenda, share industry best practices, as well as gaining insights on innovations from beyond the fleet and mobility sector.
Brokers, Retailers and Intermediaries who attended the event at Hothorpe Hall, Leicestershire, received a business and market update from Alphabet CEO Nick Brownrigg, as well as having the opportunity to take part in discussions on a range of key industry topics. Subjects included the latest developments and innovations in and around the mobility sector, through to recent regulatory developments in automotive finance featuring Alphabet’s Head of Compliance, Leanne Christmas.
Gavin Davies, General Manager, Indirect Sales at Alphabet comments: “We value the Partnership Forum immensely as an event in which we can hear from our Broker, Retailer and Affinity partners, share insights and updates from Alphabet, while having discussions on the latest trends and issues affecting them, their businesses and customers. We brought together these important business partners together at Hothorpe Hall for a day of intensive discussions and networking, as well as to mark five years to the week that we launched Alphabet Partner channel back in 2014. We felt it was a great way to celebrate and share what we’ve achieved so far, as well as look forward to our future together.”
Alphabet Partner, overseen by Davies, provides SME organisations and sole traders with access to Alphabet’s comprehensive suite of funding, fleet management and mobility solutions via a select network of Broker partnerships. Launched in 2014, Alphabet Partner involves Brokers across England, Wales, Scotland plus Northern Ireland and is responsible for a fleet of nearly 30,000 vehicles. New Head of Alphabet Partner, Richard Chadwick was appointed in October 2019, having worked within the Partner channel since its launch.
The event also proved to be a great way for Alphabet and its business partners to raise money for the company’s official charity, Alzheimer’s Society, by raffling off the most prestigious room at the venue for the evening, the luxury ‘Treehouse’ in The Woodlands. Martin Brown, Managing Director of Fleet Alliance who have been an Alphabet Partner since 2015 was the successful bidder, with £500 being raised for the benefit of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Following the success of the first Alphabet Partnership Forum, the company intends to hold another event in Liverpool in December to enable more business partners from around the UK to participate.
