Provided that the insurance is with Alphabet, all persons are insured, regardless of whether they live in the same household or not. The lessee, however, will be liable for any loss or damage caused by use of third parties.

In the case of insurance with an external provider, please contact the fleet manager of your company to clarify the insurance cover.

Why are there no details of the beginning and termination of the lease agreement on same agreement?

The lease agreement must be signed so that the vehicle can be ordered. However, it is not known yet at this stage when the ordered vehicle can be delivered because delivery periods vary depending on the manufacturer and model. The beginning of the lease agreement therefore is always determined by the date on the delivery protocol.

What does closed-end lease include?

With a closed-end lease, the lessee pays a fixed monthly amount that covers a selection of services agreed upon in advance. Any potential additional costs are borne by the lessor, provided that the vehicle remains within the agreed term and mileage. A closed-end lease therefore enables the lessee to budget accurately, with no additional risk. The following services are offered as a rule by Alphabet as part of a closed-end lease:

  • Maintenance and wear and tear
  • Budgeted number of tyres
  • Insurance
  • Schadenmanagement

Additional use of services as a result of the term or mileage having been exceeded, or any use not agreed upon as part of the lease, will be charged to the lessee.
Please contact your personal account manager for more information about closed-end leasing.

What does open-end lease include?

With an open-end lease, the lessee pays a monthly flat rate that is compared with the effective costs and settled at a predefined point in time (depending on the service on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis, or at the end of the lease term). If the effective costs exceed the amount already paid, the difference is invoiced to the lessee, whereas if they are below the amount paid, the difference is credited. As a rule, the following services are offered by Alphabet as part of an open-end lease:

  • Fuel and vehicle-related products
  • Replacement vehicle
  • Road tax
  • Car wash

It may also be possible for maintenance, wear and tear and tyres to be included in an open-end lease.
Please contact your personal account manager for more information about open-end leasing.
