Alphabet introduces mobility card in collaboration with XXImo
Aartselaar, 20 November 2015 – At Alphabet Belgium's head office today the business agreement between Alphabet Belgium and XXImo was signed. In order to enable Alphabet to offer its Belgian customers mobility cards, Alphabet will call on the mobility card devised by XXImo.
XXImo's mobility card allows for various forms of business travel to be efficiently managed and paid.
Users can pay for parking costs, public transport, taxi and carwash and can use the car at most of the Belgian fuel stations. Afterwards, fleet managers will receive an invoice with a detailed summary of the various costs per user. Alphabet is also set to shortly present this mobility card to its customers. XXImo CEO Patrick Bunnik: “This collaboration sees Alphabet confirm its focus on widening the range of services it offers its customers. We are proud to be able to play a leading role in this endeavour through our mobility cards, our technology and our acceptance network.”
The introduction of the mobility card fits within Alphabet's broader vision to engage as a mobility provider. Alphabet Belgium's Managing Director Christel Reynaerts explains: “We are seeing increasing changes in employees' mobility needs in that they are looking to use and combine different forms of mobility. As part of our overall offering, the XXImo's mobility card helps us to facilitate and meet these needs.”
In the future, drivers will be able to decide for themselves which forms of mobility they call on to organise their travel. In doing so, fleet managers are catering for the diverse mobility needs of employees, without losing control over the total cost. “Behind the scenes, a lot of steps and precautions need to be put in place, including in the area of data privacy and IT,” Alphabet Belgium's Sales & Marketing Director Marc Vandenbergh goes on to add. “To this end, Alphabet has already set up an internal pilot, whereby the company's own staff are able to use mobility card. In 2016, the card will be offered to our clients.”
Today's move is part of Alphabet's international vision to serve customers as a progressive mobility provider that acts in response to the current needs and wishes of fleet managers and drivers at all times.

It allows an employee to decide independently what is the best way to travel from A to B: by car alone, by car and public transport, or using a combination of taxi, bicycle and public transport. An employee can also book and pay for a hotel or meeting location with XXImo. Organisations manage all mobility service expenses through an online portal. All transactions are specified on one invoice that meets the requirements of the Inland Revenue. XXImo creates a significant reduction in administration, thereby resulting in financial savings.
