Alphabet Belgium launches AlphaFlex

Aartselaar, 25 November 2016 - Alphabet’s latest product, AlphaFlex, benefits both companies and their employees by giving fleet managers full cost control while letting mobility users flexibly decide for themselves which form of transportation to take. The solution comes in response to Belgium’s rapidly evolving mobility requirements and meets the rising demand for individual and flexible mobility solutions.

While existing innovations from Alphabet, such as AlphaElectric and AlphaCity focus predominantly on cars, AlphaFlex takes a different approach. AlphaFlex allows users to variably select the mobility form that best suits their needs on a case-by-case basis. Options range from lease car, including a variety of drive systems, to rental services to company bicycles to public transport to taxis.

Each participating employee is allocated a mobility budget they may spend on means of transport of their choice. Used in combination with a mobility app, users always have a transparent overview of their designated mobility budget including the current balance and the amount used. Booking occurs seamlessly on Alphabet’s designated online platform. For transport options and mobility services, which includes public transport, parking, tolls, refuelling, taxi rides and the car wash, employees use their Mobility Card, a convenient payment system that is integral to the AlphaFlex solution.

During the last months, the first pilot clients began using the new Business Mobility solution and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. “At Alphabet, we strive to provide clients future-oriented products that are in tune with today’s mobility requirements – whatever they may be. From the start, many of our clients were excited to try AlphaFlex. Integrating the product into their mobility offer has only reinforced their enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing more clients benefit from this innovative mobility solution,” says Christel Reynaerts, Managing Director of Alphabet Belgium.

Both companies and employees benefit from AlphaFlex in a multitude of ways. By making employees responsible for choosing which form of transport to take based on their professional needs and remaining budget, they automatically make more cost-efficient decisions. Freedom of choice is an aspect employees appreciate: they can decide for themselves which form of transportation fulfils their individual needs, without fleet managers losing control on the budget. Thus, AlphaFlex can help companies attract and retain talent. What makes AlphaFlex unique, is that the combination of all these various mobility options can be done hassle-free, as companies can set a single mobility policy for all employees and Alphabet takes care of the administration.

AlphaFlex is also currently available in Belgium and the Netherlands, The product will launch in further Alphabet markets in the future.
