Alphabet Reaches 100,000

Alphabet continues its impressive international success story with an annual growth rate of over 30 percent and reaches a new benchmark of 100,000 cars under management in 2005.

Alphabet, one of the fastest growing international fleet companies, reached a decisive milestone in its history. In the first half of 2005, Alphabet surpassed a total of 100,000 cars under management worldwide and marked an average growth rate of over 30 percent in the last years. To celebrate this occasion, Alphabet held a special event to deliver the 100,000th vehicle to ORACLE Deutschland GmbH in Munich, Germany on 29 June 2005. Karl-Heinz Kral, the new Head of Alphabet, was there to personally hand over the keys to the 100,000th car – a BMW 535d Touring – to Matthias Petzold, a Board Member at ORACLE in Germany.

This is the most recent step for Alphabet in the successful relationship with the software company. Currently, Alphabet manages a multi-make fleet of cars for ORACLE in Belgium, Germany, Great Britain and Spain. Tilo Bär, fleet manager of ORACLE Germany, was also present and received a personal thank you from Mr. Kral as well as a token to commemorate the event and the relationship. “We are delighted that Alphabet delivered its 100,000th vehicle under management to us”, Tilo Bär said. “After eighteen years of close cooperation, first with the BMW Bank and since 2003 with Alphabet, we are convinced that we have the right partner to further develop our company fleet on a national and international level.“

“This day is particularly important for us”, Karl-Heinz Kral said. “With 100,000 cars under management, Alphabet has reached a crucial milestone. We are very proud to celebrate this success story with our long standing customer ORACLE.” Questioned about the future strategy of Alphabet, Mr. Kral answered: “Alphabet’s double-digit growth rate proves our strong performance in the consolidating international fleet market and the trust our customers put in us. Our strong international growth together with a focus on customer needs and innovation will enable us to expand our business even more strongly in our current and new markets.”
