Alphabet International's full-service fleet management expands in 2010

Alphabet International has generated very positive figures in 2010: Last year the all-brand fleet management company managed around 301,000 company car contracts for over 12,000 customers in 13 countries. Due to the shift of pure service contracts to other BMW Financial Services divisions, the overall number of contracts was reduced by 7.7 percent.

MUNICH 12/04/2011 – Alphabet International has generated very positive figures in 2010: Last year the all-brand fleet management company managed around 301,000 company car contracts for over 12,000 customers in 13 countries. Due to the shift of pure service contracts to other BMW Financial Services divisions, the overall number of contracts was reduced by 7.7 percent. However, the company showed significant growth in full-service contracts. Alphabet is concentrating on the growing full-service fleet management sector and is developing products and services for sustainable and efficient corporate mobility management.

"2010 was a positive year for Alphabet. We reached the two goals we had set — our core business, full-service contracts, expanded and the number of pure service contracts was   further reduced," said Norbert van den Eijnden, the Head of Alphabet International. In 2011, Alphabet International is focusing on further development of products and services. "Fleet management is increasingly developing into comprehensive corporate mobility management. It's a trend that demands new concepts of transport and sustainable solutions in company fleets and car pools."

With AlphaCity in 2010, Alphabet launched a novel car-sharing product in France. In The Netherlands, the company is also offering a product that combines public transport with parking. "Corporate mobility management must combine sustainability and economy. We are seeing lots of opportunity for growth in this area," says van den Eijnden.
