2012

Alphabet enters Romanian market.
The fleet management provider signs cooperation agreement with UniCredit Fleet Management.

2011

In September, Alphabet acquires ING Car Lease, a subsidiary of ING Group.
The merger boosts Alphabet's position in Europe and strengthens its international presence. Alphabet now has more than 530,000 cars under management, including 70,000 service contracts.

2011

Alphabet International enters Czech and Slovak market.
The fleet management provider signs cooperation agreements with UniCredit Fleet Management in both countries.

2010

Alphabet launches the Mobility Service division in charge of the development of innovative mobility management solutions.
As a first result, Alphabet France introduces AlphaCity – a car sharing product to complement regular car pools. AlphaCity meets the growing demand of clients for sustainable mobility management solutions especially for short-distance travel or within an urban environment.

2009

Norbert van den Eijnden becomes Head of Alphabet International in January.

Alphabet's performance remains stable with an average annual growth rate of 27 percent over the last five years.
The total number of company cars managed by Alphabet across Europe remains constant at more than 300,000.

2008

In May, the 300,000th company car is delivered to a customer.
Alphabet introduces AlphaTact, a new consulting approach for sustainable fleet management.

2007

Alphabet celebrates its tenth anniversary.
With more than 250,000 company cars under management and about 680 employees worldwide the company is one of the top ten European fleet management service providers.

2007

The company acquires LHS and DSL fleet services and opens a branch in Denmark.

2006

The company achieves growth of 30 percent and a total of 180,000 company cars.

2006

Among UK fleet management companies, Alphabet wins the Customer Satisfaction Survey.

2005

The company reaches the 100,000 company car milestone in the first half of the year.
By the end of the year it is managing 138,500 company cars for more than 6,000 customers in 12 countries .

2003

After steady expansion, the company consolidates its position in Europe.
Alphabet simplifies the cross-border fleet management by publishing the European Fleet Handbook.

2002

The company is now active in 12 important fleet management markets.
Alphabet opens subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Norway. In addition, Alphabet organizes the first International Fleet Intelligence Forum for international customers.

2001

The European fleet management market is growing and Alphabet opens branches in France, Belgium and, additionally, Australia.

2000

For its innovative fleet management services, Alphabet wins the Fleet News Award 2000 for the ‘Best New Fleet Company (UK)’.

1999

Switzerland becomes the Alphabet's third active market in Europe.

1998

The company opens a fleet management subsidiary in Germany.

1998

In the same year Alphabet is awarded the Fleet News Award as “Best New Product (UK).”

1997

Alphabet is established in the UK as the fleet management subsidiary of the BMW Group.
